'Ways To See' screened at this years Rotorua Indigenous Film Festival as part of the 'Wairoa Māori Film Festival' curated program.
The festival was created by award-winning Rotorua Māori filmmakers Curtis, Mike Jonathan and Lara Northcroft of Steambox Collective. The three-day event ran from September 26 to 29 and was based around Māori values of manaakitanga (hospitality) and kotahitanga (unity).
The festival, which ran during the month-long inaugural Rotorua Aronui Arts Festival, included film screenings and workshops.
But a highlight for many in attendance was film screenings at the hot pools on lake Rotoiti – only accessible by boat.
